BUILT AROUND YOUR BUSINESS
Start with the work. Then plan the network.
A fibre connection at the building entrance is only the start. Desks, meeting rooms, phones, scanners and equipment still need a dependable route through the premises. An old cable layout, overloaded switch or poorly placed wireless access point can leave the business struggling even after the broadband has been upgraded.
Vraxor helps plan and install the network inside your business: structured data cabling, fibre links, switches, wireless access points and VoIP telephones. We start with what people and equipment need to do, then look at the building, the existing installation and the connections available.
02
Bring installations together
The requirement might be a new office, extra data points, Wi-Fi that reaches the working areas, an internal fibre link or a move to internet-based telephones. Those jobs belong in one plan. Cabling, switch capacity, power, wireless coverage and the provider connection need to work together.
03
Include connected equipment
For premises using scanners, connected machinery or other operational equipment, tell us which devices are critical and who supports them. Their connection requirements and any changes to a production network are agreed with the equipment supplier or responsible IT team. We do not assume that a working laptop connection proves an operational system is ready.
04
Agree the responsibilities
The work is scoped around the site postcode, layout, users, devices and access arrangements. Existing IT support, the broadband or voice provider and any specialist equipment suppliers retain their defined responsibilities. Handover should leave you with useful port labels, equipment information, agreed checks and a clear explanation of anything still outstanding.
PLAN THE CHANGE
Your next connection. Your next working day.
Upgrading broadband, moving to digital phones or adding connected equipment? Plan the premises network alongside the provider change.
BT/Openreach’s analogue telephone network, the PSTN, is due to close on 31 January 2027. Check your own provider’s migration arrangements before that date. The wider move to full fibre and withdrawal of copper-based products happens through separate, location-dependent programmes; every copper cable is not switched off nationwide on that day.
What should your business prepare?
Confirm the provider connection and activation date. Review the internal cabling, switches, Wi-Fi and phones. Agree power and connection contingencies, who handles configuration and number transfers, and the checks needed at handover.
Your internal Cat6 or Cat6A Ethernet cabling is separate from the public telephone network. Existing cabling may remain useful when its condition and specification suit the proposed installation.
Identify working areas, phones, users, equipment, existing connections and the provider’s planned changes.
02
Survey and agree the design
Establish routes, outlets, cabinet and access-point locations, equipment needs, responsibilities and access limits.
03
Install and check
Carry out the agreed cabling and equipment work, with checks appropriate to the specified installation.
04
Handover and follow through
Explain labels, equipment, configuration responsibility, agreed results and any further work.
BEFORE WE GET STARTED
Useful answers. A better first conversation.
Bring the postcode, the problem and any plans or equipment details you have.
Can you help when we are upgrading broadband?
Yes. We can discuss the network inside the premises, equipment placement, cabling, Wi-Fi and telephone installation around the provider’s planned connection. The provider confirms service availability and activation.
Do we have to replace the whole network?
No. We assess what is already installed and what the business needs. Reuse, targeted improvements and a larger installation are different options to agree after the review.
Can you work with our IT company?
Yes. Tell us who manages the network and equipment. Scope, access, configuration responsibility and handover are agreed with the responsible team.
What affects the price?
The number and location of outlets, cable routes, building construction, fibre distances, access point requirements, equipment and working hours all affect the quote. Share a plan and requirements to establish the starting point.
YOUR PREMISES. YOUR CONNECTIONS.
A network planned around your building, people and equipment.
Tell us the postcode, working areas, devices and the change you want to make. We’ll discuss the starting point and agree the right scope.
