YOUR BUILDING. YOUR OPERATIONS.
BEFORE YOU BOOK

Plan a commercial electrical inspection.

Inspection due, a tenancy changing or concerns in an existing report? Discuss your premises and shutdown restrictions before booking.

What is included?

An inspection and test scope agreed for the fixed installation, a condition report with findings, and a discussion of further investigation or remedial work where required. Remedial work is a separate agreed scope.

What affects the cost?

The number of circuits and distribution boards, access, previous records, installation condition and shutdown arrangements affect the quote. PAT testing is a different service.

What should I have ready?

Your postcode, building use, latest EICR if available, approximate board and circuit numbers, and equipment that cannot be switched off.

Can you quote without a circuit schedule?

Share the information you have. Missing records or uncertain installation size may require a survey before the scope and price can be agreed.

THE STARTING POINT

Understand the condition of your fixed wiring.

Electrical installation condition reports and remedial work for Newcastle commercial premises, schools and managed property.

An electrical installation condition report, usually called an EICR, records the findings of inspection and testing within an agreed scope. It helps establish the condition of the fixed installation and identify matters requiring attention.

Vraxor coordinates commercial EICR work around your premises, access and operational needs. Before the visit, we discuss the installation, available circuit information, previous reports and equipment that may be affected by a shutdown.

The report’s observations and limitations matter as much as its overall outcome. We help make the next steps clear: items needing prompt attention, further investigation and proposed remedial work. Completing a visit does not mean outstanding defects have been resolved.

For schools, workplaces and managed portfolios, scheduling can account for term dates, opening hours and site contacts. Remedial work and its supporting documentation are agreed separately so the record of action is traceable.

Is an EICR the same as PAT testing?

No. An EICR concerns the fixed electrical installation. Portable appliance testing concerns electrical equipment; the appropriate scope depends on the premises.

How often is an EICR needed?

There is no single interval covering every commercial building. The premises, use, condition, previous report and applicable duties or contractual requirements need to be considered.

Will the power need to be switched off?

Some testing requires isolation. We agree access, sensitive equipment and shutdown arrangements before the visit.
